Lysander was the chosen commander for the Imperial Fist Space Marine army that is currently being painted. Being a commander model and the focus of more scrutiny than a regular model, more care with details and a slightly different colour pallet was used to paint him.
Purple was chosen for the cloak and this colour would be replicated on other character models for the army as well.
The Imperial Eagle on the shield was picked out with a metal grey colour to draw it out from the rest of the yellow model. Finally the laurels worked perfectly in green to compliment the yellow army.
