If you’re a fan of board games, chances are you’ve heard of Kingdom Death. One of the standout components of this game is the intricately detailed miniatures, which provide a level of immersion and realism that truly sets it apart.
For those unfamiliar with the game, the Dragon King is a massive, terrifying beast that serves as one of the final bosses. It’s a truly impressive piece, both in terms of its size and the level of detail on the sculpt.
The client wanted Dragon King painted to a level 5 quality, which is the highest level of detail we offer. This was no small feat, given the size of the miniature. However, I was up for the challenge and determined to create a truly stunning piece.
One of the challenges of painting the Dragon King was deciding on a color scheme. I ultimately settled on a natural green for the skin, as I felt it really captured the essence of this fearsome creature. I spent hours carefully applying layers of paint, using a variety of techniques to create a sense of depth and texture.
Overall, painting the Dragon King was a difficult but rewarding experience. The end result was a miniature that truly stood out on the tabletop, and one that I’m extremely proud of.
