This Ultramarines commission consists of a formidable force of 15 Primaris Aggressors accompanied by an imposing Invictor Tactical Warsuit. This heavy firepower contingent was completed to our Level 4 high-quality standard and designed to seamlessly integrate with our client’s existing Ultramarines collection.
Sons of Guilliman in Heavy Plate
Primaris Aggressors represent the walking tanks of the Primaris arsenal, and this substantial unit of 15 models makes for an impressive battlefield presence. Each Aggressor was meticulously painted in the client’s established Ultramarines color scheme – a rich, dark blue that exemplifies the noble heritage of the XIII Legion.
The Aggressors’ bulky armor plates provided excellent opportunities to demonstrate smooth blending and edge highlighting techniques. The iconic Ultramarines iconography was precisely rendered on shoulder pads and other decorative elements, ensuring these warriors are unmistakably sons of Guilliman.
The weapons systems – both the boltstorm gauntlets and fragstorm grenade launchers – were given appropriate weathering to suggest battlefield use without compromising the Ultramarines’ renowned maintenance standards. Careful highlighting on the weapon casings and heat discoloration on muzzles adds realism and visual interest.
Invictor Tactical Warsuit: Dreadnought Mobility
Complementing the Aggressors is the Invictor Tactical Warsuit – a more nimble cousin to the traditional Dreadnought. This imposing walker received the same meticulous painting treatment, with its larger surfaces allowing for even more refined blending and highlighting on the blue armor panels.
The exposed pilot in the semi-open cockpit provided an opportunity for detailed character work, with careful attention paid to the face and control interfaces. The various weapon systems were painted with appropriate metallic finishes and subtle weathering effects, suggesting operational readiness and recent deployment.
Particular attention was given to the mechanical components and hydraulics visible in the Warsuit’s design, with appropriate metallic finishes and subtle oil staining that adds realism without compromising the clean Ultramarines aesthetic.
Martian Battlefield Bases
This commission mounts all models on bases that depict a dusty Martian landscape. The rich orange-red of the terrain creates a perfect complementary contrast to the deep blue of the Ultramarines armor, making the models visually “pop” on the tabletop.
The bases feature subtle texture variations and scattered debris that suggest an active war zone on the red planet. Light dustings of the Martian soil were applied to the lower portions of the models’ armor, creating a natural environmental connection between the bases and the models themselves.
