Welcome back to our ongoing series about commission painting additional miniatures for a client’s existing Lord of the Rings army. In this latest post, we were tasked with painting Lothlorien Elves, including infantry and several key characters.
The infantry were painted to a level 2 quality, which allowed us to focus on painting the details that make these miniatures stand out while still keeping them affordable for the client. We used careful layering and highlighting to create depth and texture on the armor and clothing, giving each miniature a unique and individualized look.
Level 2
For the key characters, we painted them to a level 3 quality, which is a higher level of detail and realism than the infantry. This allowed us to spend extra time on each miniature, bringing out the unique features and details that make each character so memorable. We used a variety of techniques to create a sense of depth and texture, including blending and layering, to create a truly standout piece that would capture the character’s personality and style.
