DungeonQuest Board Game

I’ve always loved Fantasy Flight games and in fact it is how I actually returned to the wargaming and miniature painting hobby. One of their first games that I got was Dungeon Quest (which was originally a Games Workshop game). After a 15 year hiatus from the miniature world, these were the first miniatures I painted and I must admit that i completely ruined them (yes I did strip later and repainted them after I developed some painting skills).

Wardens of the West

As part of a commission to paint up all the expansions of the Fantasy Flight game Battle of Westeros, I’ve just completed the Wardens of the West. Here are some shots of the colour scheme that follows the game cards imagery.

The first characters on horse back are the Lannister’s Addam and Tywin. Both characters armour had to reflect their high born status and thus included a little gold (or a lot in Tywin’s case). We begin by painting Addam…

Stark Warhost and Archers

The last forces of the Stark’s is now completed; the Warhost and the archers. With so many miniatures in the Warhost, this part of the commission took the longest. Painting again was done in a production/assembly line process whereby I painted a segment on each of the miniatures first before […]

More Lannisters Painted

The First wave of the Lannisters has been completed. It comprises of the footmen and archers from the Battle of Westeros box set by Fantasy Flight. I found the overall miniature quality quite good with very little flash to trim off it, and not much (though a little) bad molding.
