The First wave of the Lannisters has been completed. It comprises of the footmen and archers from the Battle of Westeros box set by Fantasy Flight.
I found the overall miniature quality quite good with very little flash to trim off it, and not much (though a little) bad molding.
They were all undercoated in black, then the skirt, shield and plume were painted dark red and highlighted through several tints to a pure red.
The metal was was painted with a GW Bolt Gun metal and painted up through three highlights to a GW Mithril Silver.
These same colours will be painted on to the remaining spear men and knights.
