Its been a whilst since I put up an update. Its not that we’ve not been painting, quiet the opposite actually. Its more that we have been flat out with commissions and changing the direction of our offerings that has ne left me with virtually not time to put up […]

Lots more Dreadfleet painted. I seem to get at least 2 or 3 Dreadfleet sets each year. This is the first Dreadfleet for the year (with another starting shortly). All the ships were painted to our Standard Quality level. We have in the past written up a few painting guides for […]

We have just finished another Dreadfleet Commission. Thats noew 5 Dreadfleet commissions comeplted in 2 years. I must admit that this particular box set instills fear into me. The miniatures are exceptionally detailed plastic models. The color schemes for each of the ships is quite varied and each miniature is so very individulaistic in it’s theme. Granted that once paitned the games does look very nice, but getting it painted does take a large amount of time and energy.

Over the past week we have been working on a large commission to paint up the entire Games Workshop Dreadfleet set. We’ve currently completed most of the islands as well as the Skabrus ship. We’ve also completed the Volcanoe island and we’re half way through the Grimnar’s Thunders Swarf ship.
Here are some of the images:

When I first saw a picture of the Skabrus, I thought that this ship was going to be the hardest. The awful dirty colours, the see through sickening skin and the intricate parts made for a hard ship. Well guess what, the ship was actually very easy to do, as […]
