If you’re a fan of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, then you know that the Ultramarines are one of the most iconic Space Marine chapters. They are known for their blue and gold armor, as well as their prowess in battle. As a miniature painter, it’s always exciting to work on an Ultramarine Space Marine commission, and that’s exactly what we’ve recently completed.
This commission included a variety of different components, including infantry, vehicles, and characters. However, in this blog post, we want to focus specifically on the infantry that we painted, which included terminators and bikes amongst others. All of these miniatures were painted to level 4 quality.
One of the things that we love about painting Ultramarine Space Marines is the opportunity to create a vibrant blue color scheme.
The terminators were a particular highlight of this commission. These miniatures were modified with 3rd party missle laucher systems. We added weathering effects to their armor to make it look battle-worn, and we used a mix of gold and silver paints to highlight their weapons.
The bikes were another fun component of this commission. These miniatures are sleek and fast, and we wanted to capture that sense of speed in our painting. We used a mix of blue and white paints to create a gradient effect on the bikes, adding dusting weathering powders across their bottoms to make them look more realistic.
Overall, we’re thrilled with how this Ultramarine Space Marine commission turned out. Painting these miniatures to level 4 quality was a challenge, but we’re proud of the results. If you’re looking for a commission painter to bring your Warhammer 40,000 miniatures to life, we’d love to hear from you.
