Some Space Marine bikes from the Dark Vengeance box set join the Imperial Fist army. Like the other Dark Vengeance box set Space Marines, the Dark Angel heraldry was removed (cut, filed and Green puttied).
The commission request was to leave the wings and feathers on the bikes. The wings at the front of the bike were painted in the same grey colour as that of Lysander’s shield. Painting it silver of gold would have caused the wings to blend too much with the rest of the bike.
The control panels for the bikes were painted up in a typical sci-fi green colour with white blips.
Finally the engine exhausts and the wheel areas were painted with weathering pigments (black pigment for the exhausts and brown around the wheel area to simulate thrown up dust).
