We have painted a Ferrus Manus in the past to Display quality. What makes this commission a little different is that it is painted using Real Metal rather than Non-Metal Metallic techniques. Pigment powders were used on the base and the lower part of the miniature for weathering as well as little on his power pack to show a little wear.
Overall I personally I find using real metal techniques a lot harder to show shade and light then I do with NMM techniques. This could be the paints I use for metals (Citadel range), though I have tried other brands before and find the metal paints to be either a thick consistency or too thin to paint effectively with. In the end I think he turned out quite nicely, let me know what you think?
