We recently painted a Space Marine Chaos Lord to a display standard. The Space Marine is part of the Dark Vengeance Warhammer 40k starter box. The client wanted it painted in Slaanesh colors with black and pink being the prominent colors.

The onlu other consideration as that the cloak was to be a blue/green color to help the model match into their existing army. The weapons and gold on the cloak were painted using NMM techniques. The cloak was first painted in blue but later was changed to aqua through the use of a mix of blue and green glazes.

The skulls on the armour were painted in a way that made it look like it was emerging through the armour (whilst still using the color theme of pink and black). This merge was done by layering the base coat of black with layers of purple, pink, a pink/bone mix and finally up to the bone color itself.
