Khador Winterguard

As part of an ongoing Warmachine Khador force commission, these Khador Winterguard were painted up to Display standard. The bases were a grey granite base with snow covering. The snow covering was created by using Secret Weapon crush glass. The coats of the miniatures were also dusted with a white pigment powder to give the impression that snow has been kicked up on the miniatures.

Whats on the painting table

Lots of new commissions arriving and completing this week. To begin with some nice Khador Winterguards are about to be completed and shipped out, keep an eye on the posts this week for more pictures of that.

A whole stack of inbound commissions have arrived and have begun going under the knife for cutting and cleaning. I’ll be working on some Infinity miniatures at the start of this month, with some Blood Bowl miniatures later in the month.

Getting some game boards made

Recently I took some time off painting miniatures to devout some energy to the actual war gaming aspect of the hobby. I haven’t really had a chance to play any wargames for a long time (other then some x-wing). One of the main reasons for my lack of wargaming is that I don’t really own any playing surfaces or terrain.

Sonnia Creed – Malifaux

Well I finally got to paint my first Malifaux miniature. I’ve been back painting and doing commissions for over 2 years now and this is the first time i’ve had a chance to paint Malifuax, and boy was I in for a treat. Then new 2nd edition plastic miniatures are highly detailed in a nice hard plastic.

Whats on the painting table

Very quick update this week. Its been madness at the moment, though a lot of things are being painted and getting off the holding shelves, there is still a stack more miniatures to be completed this month.

Warhammer 40k 25th Anniversary Model

It’s not often that I actually get time to paint something for myself let alone anything for my armies. One of the downsides of commission painting is that you often don’t feel like painting when it comes to your own miniatures. In fact i’ve been playing a lot of Fantasy Flight Games X-Wing as its a enjoyable game but everything is already painted (pretty nicely for machine painting).

Chapter Master Pedro Kantor of the Crimson Fists

Some more Crimson Fists to paint, this time it’s Pedro Kantor. I must admit that i’m starting to enjoy painting the dark blues and the off set crimson colours. Might have to swap my Ultramarines over to the Crimson Fists (I still have that option as I haven’t started painting any of my 40k armies).

Vladimir Tzepesci, Great Prince of Umbrey

Vladimir is the first off the line of an upcoming Warmachine Khador army. The client is just beginning their Khador army and wants the whole army painted to Display quality (its going to look spectacular). The basic theme of the army will be to follow the Khador red colours of the studio and to have all the miniatures based on snow covered ground.

Tau Hammerhead

Just completed a Tau hammerhead painted to our Standard Quality for our Facebook gift voucher winner. The client wanted them painted to a custom colour scheme of greys with the Tau camouflage. The Sept writing had to be a light green colour and the engines and weaponry to be a […]
