The Goliaths are known for their imposing physiques and brutal combat style, and these miniatures perfectly capture their intimidating presence. For this commission, we followed the classic Games Workshop color scheme featuring the iconic combination of red, black, and metal tones that have become synonymous with these gene-forged warriors.
The bold red armor plates provide an excellent visual anchor, immediately identifying these fighters as Goliaths even from across the gaming table. The black undersuits create a strong contrast that helps define the muscular forms, while the metallic elements add visual interest and highlight the gang’s industrial aesthetic.
Weathered Warriors
One of the defining features of this commission is the extensive weathering applied to the metallic components. The Goliaths aren’t known for their careful equipment maintenance, and we wanted their weapons and armor to tell that story.
We employed multiple weathering techniques to achieve this effect:

- Dust and dirt accumulation on lower portions of the models
These weathering effects add visual interest and enhance the narrative of these fighters as industrial workers turned gang members, using whatever weapons they can get their hands on in the harsh environment of the underhive.

Each gang member received individual attention to ensure they stood out as unique characters within the cohesive group. From the imposing gang leader with his distinctive pose and weaponry to the various specialists with their unique equipment, every Goliath has been given personal touches that help tell their story.
The faces received particular focus, with expressive features that capture the aggressive nature of the Goliath temperament. Scars, augmentations, and facial tattoos further differentiate the individual gang members while reinforcing their brutal aesthetic.
