I have been wanting to paint the Forgeworld Horus miniature since the moment I first laid eyes on it. I’ve been waiting for a few more Primarch models to be released by Forgeworld before I do a large batch order and attain my Horus as well.
Whilst I wait, a client came along and offered to me the opportunity to get my paint brushes all over this beautiful piece. I wanted to paint him in the classical dark, brooding way with the red iconic glow on his face. The miniature was to be painted to Display Standard which meant I could also go the full Non-metallic metal paint path – a challenge with this model as he had so many small intricate details across his armour.
